A 32oz bottle of RVP Conditioner/Cleaner can be diluted to make up to 384oz (3 gallons) of cleaning solution when using the 1:12 ratio. For most handrails, you'll only need a few ounces per application, making it very economical.

For high-traffic areas like malls and transit stations, we recommend daily cleaning. For moderate traffic areas, 2-3 times per week is sufficient. Low-traffic areas can be cleaned weekly or as needed.

RVP Conditioner/Cleaner is specifically formulated for escalator handrails. The low coefficient of friction works its way deeply into the pores of the handrail surface. This increases the elasticity and thus, extends the expected lifespan usage. It also lubricates deeply into the pores and pushes out the bioburden (germs, soil, and all manner of bacteria).

RVP Conditioner/Cleaner is safe for rubber, vinyl, plastic, stainless steel, aluminum, glass, and most other common handrail materials. For leather or specialty finishes, we recommend testing on a small area first. Please see our "Other Uses" page.

Most foam pads will last 3 or more years. We find when the facility uses other cleaning chemicals, especially with high pH, they tend to deteriorate more quickly. Please use RVP to maximize pad lifespan.

We have found when you first use our cleaning system, the microfiber pads will turn fairly dark to black. This is normal and expected! The RVP in combination with our specially microfiber pads removes most built up soil. You may increase the mix ratio for extreme buildup.
